Diggers is a strategy game where you control 5 type of diggers that dig `through` the landscape and look for hidden treasures ( such as diamonds and gold) . The miners group into 5 types, every one has it`s weakness, and of course, it`s strenghts. Some move really slow, some have more life; another clan is fast and some just are not good fighters.
To finish the game you have to finish more than thirty missions ( levels) .
How do you earn points ?
You earn points by colecting four type of minerals (`treasures`) > purple ( the most valuable), green ( very valuable) , yellow, blue. The purple mineral you usualy get after fighthing with some creatures ( I won`t describe more, I don`t want to spoil the game for those of you that never played it before and want to play).
You can buy things like elevators, medical kits and other that can help you to earn more profit.
The goal of the game is to get a certain amount of profit before your opponents does (the computer).But be careful, you diggers cand be killled (you start with 5 miners) by fighting with strongers enemies (if the computer has a stronger clan), can drown, falling from tall heights and also from the creatures that protect valuable treasures (as the purple treasure is).
You can get your health back by sleeping but you don`t need to move a finger, because it`s automatic.
PROS.
- nice gameplay (as all the old games have);
- every mission has a different story (and there are a lot of `Easter Eggs` - very nice to find!);
CONS.
- you can control you diggers only using your mouse ( as the whole game, you can only use the mouse)
- few music sounds ( minning sounds, incompressible talks).
